The San Diego Association for Health Care Recruitment (SDAHCR) is an organization that is dedicated to the advancement of the health care profession within San Diego County.
We achieve this by creating an environment where Recruiters, Human Resource professionals, educators, advertising agencies, health care publications, internet sites as well as others that are interested in health care recruitment can come together to exchange ideas, participate in professional development opportunities, network with each other and celebrate our successes.
Membership is open to professionals that are responsible for recruiting new talent into their health care organizations, as well as other organizations that support the health care recruitment community with their goods and services.
Unfortunately at this time, we are unable to accept membership requests from organizations that generate direct revenue through the placement of other individuals into health care organizations.

About the Presenter
Jennifer Paxton will be sharing her presentation on Generation Y and their effect on the 21st century workplace. Her presentation will touch on a variety of human resource issues from how to find the best candidates for employment to how to make the most of their unique characteristics and backgrounds. Her presentation helps us bridge the gap between generations by providing us with insight into how our history- both individual and collective- has an impact our interaction with others in the workplace.
In her current position as Business Development Liaison at California College San Diego, Jennifer builds partnerships with business and medical professionals all over the county to learn about hiring trends and expectations of graduates in the medical, business, and computer industries. She incorporates what she learns from her business partners into career development workshops for students and graduates in a constant effort to help them develop the skills, qualities, and certifications that hiring managers are seeking. In addition to hosting career fairs and career development workshops, she partners with Reach Out and Read to provide books to needy families through dozens of doctor’s offices throughout San Diego.
As an educator with over twelve years of experience, Jennifer has taught English and Communications at both the high school and also the college levels. This background gives her an interesting insight into the educational trends and technological advances that have impacted the way people learn and communicate. Jennifer received her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from San Jose State University and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She holds two credentials from the state of California, as a School Administrator and as an English Teacher.
